Metz spare parts

My 58 af-1 is still broken after going pop last November.
I sent it to Intro2020, the official (and only?) service dept who wanted £178 for a new tube and PCB. I complained that that would nearly buy a new gun and that it shouldn't have gone pop in the first place. They offered to knock off £20.
I contacted Metz.de asking to be made an exception and given the parts free and they said Intro2020 were correct to charge and nothing else could be done. Intro2020 have the monopoly apparently.

Does anyone know if there is any way to get the part myself and fix my beloved flash? I feel like I've lost an arm
