If anyone's looking for a National Geographic-style bag, they could do worse than check this out: link. The quality's pretty much the same as the NG bags but at a fraction of the price. I picked one up in the never-ending search for the perfect bag and I'm delighted with it. Holds my K30 or GX-20 with attached DA 16-45 plus DA 55-300 and both the 35mm and 50mm "plastic fantastics". Many pockets for any other photo stuff you need to carry plus a tablet or netbook. Ridiculously cheap for what you get.

I have one of these I bought from Ebay, is exactly the same as the NG bag just without the branding. The NG bag is well overpriced. It is a nice little bag which is much less conspicuous than a lot of other bags.

Strange choice. Looks like a recipe for back problems to me.
It also needs an ugly cover to make it rainproof and wouldn't fit any long lenses, or two bodies, or sandwiches and raincoat, or laptop.

You could give it a spray with Fabsil silicone waterproofing solution - think that would give it a reasonable degree of water resistance.
K-3 II, K-3 and a K-70 from SRS (having now relegated the K-30 /"K-50" to a backup body), & some Sigma and Pentax lenses (and a lot of old 35mm gear!)

Hi, certainly cheap enough.

I have one of the small messenger style Crumplers (ludicrously named Cupcake 5500)for about £40 which have a very nice broad shoulder pad included and are weather proofed fabric so do not need the cover. The 7Day shop bag has less pockets but easily holds K5 and three lenses plus batteries, filter holder and or flash.

I find this type of bag much more comfortable than for example the Lowepro Slingshot single strap rucksack I have (with integral rain cover)which did make my back ache. Better padding for gear though.

My experience is you really need to take your gear to a shop and try first as sizing/quality/comfort indicated on web sites can be very misleading.

I bought one of these http://www.7dayshop.com/7dayshop-photographers-shoulder-bag-camera-bag-with-rain... from 7DayShop a couple of months ago.
Excellent and can easily recommend for the price of less than £20 delivered in the UK - well-padded and holds the K-R/K-30 plus a couple of medium-sized lenses, and spare batteries, cards, maps etc., in the large side and sectioned pocket. Judging from the reviews, many others feel the same.
Not waterproof, but - following my comment this morning - have just given it a couple of coats of Fabsil.
