Ok, so this is a very flexible and pretty much risk free offer to someone who can do minor repairs on this camera themselves. I've got an ME Super which is all black (I've only seen black and chrome ones before). I was assured that it functions correctly but when not in use for a little while or after turning the knob from "A" to "Lock" or 125x etc. the film has to be wound once or twice (hence wasting a bit of film) before the shutter will fire.
However, on my way home I may have lost a tiny bit of the camera (please see photos for the winder bit that came unscrewed and the three parts I have...perhaps something is missing but maybe not, you will know from the pics). I didn't take a photo of the third bit, which is the big black funny-shaped piece that you actually push with your thumb to wind the film (hope that's clear)
So my thoughts are,
1. you should be in the UK (because the value of this probably isn't worth paying high shipping costs
2. you should be able to make such repairs yourself.
3. you would cover only for the postage costs (in advance) and then, after you've had a go with the camera, send me what you think would be a fair price.
so your only risk would be the initial postage. anyone interested? I'm also open to you telling me "why are you wasting your time, just throw it out" but I thought for someone mechanically inclined this might be useful.
I don't see how to post photos in here so please look on pentaxforums marketplace for my post today there with pics
