Having a problem saving images from photoshop. In the image in PS it shows more detail in the brickwork ie it is lighter, as I want it to be but on saving it loses the detail and goes very dark. I have this problem with another image too, no matter what I do as regards adjustments it prints a lot darker than what the screen is showing. Any advice on settings for photoshop CS6 will be most welcome.

Just had a look at the settings I use

Jpg 12
Baseline ("Standard")

The default setting really Mate.

What you see on screen should be what you see on screen when you have saved it and then reopened it. There's no reason why it shouldn't be.

What you see on the print depends upon how everything is set up. I suggest going back to basic principles, making sure the whole process is using the sRGB colour space and that the monitor is roughly right at least.

Very difficult to suggest anything else without being sat in front of the computer and having a play.

I'll have a proper look tomorrow. Will Reset everything to default and go from there. One odd thing on my screen I can barely make out any brickwork in the saved image, but I can see it, not as much as shows in PS, on the uploaded image. Just another puzzle for me to solve.

Printer and monitor calibration required. Alternatively you could turn down the brightness of your monitor and reprint until you get the right result. Don't forget you monitor is backlit and your prints aren't.
