These are some pictures I took the other day in Villagio Mall, Doha. The ceiling has sky painted on it, and the buildings have facades to build the illusion you are in Europe. My entry for this weeks competition is part of this set. C+C most welcome!!

Sort of slightly sinister sci-fi unreal world, really well portrayed. Scary.

What a weird place! One of the strengths of this forum is the sheer variety of venues on offer. Interesting and powerful shots. Strange light and colour.
Best wishes,

Andrew

Thanks for the comments. It's a pretty strange place, Villagio Mall, next time I'm there I hope to get some photos of the gondolas on the canal.

Did you say gondolas and canal?!?

Sounds like Las Vegas in the desert... Except that Las Vegas is in the desert, but you know what I mean!
Best wishes,

Andrew

The series is a good documentary of the bizarre of the Middle East. I have been to a couple of shopping centres in the UAE, and they induce a weird mix of the West and the Oriental.
Best regards

Unfortunately the only shot I got of the canal that came out at all was this one:, which was taken while my stepson Josh was ice-skating further up the mall......
