Made my mind up - K20D it is !!

After my initial "excitement" at the K7 announcement I've now had chance to think things through & whilst the features on the new model are very interesting I've come to the conclusion that for my own use most of them won't get used. The extra MP & better noise control of the K20D are definitely useful, now I need to decide if the prices will drop a little further after the introduction of the K7, is the recent sell-off at Jacobs a sign of things to come ???

K20D is not discontinued, and when current stocks have sold price will rise to £650ish

The GX-20 @ £299 sounds unmissable to me, and I believe you have a GX-10 Simon?

Sounds like a no brainer! I'd get on the phone first thing if I was you now that you have made the decision!

Good choice I have 2, and I have to say I love all your landscape stuff, what camera did you use?

A very grown-up decision, Simon, if I may say so.

Lovely landscapes, Simon.

I would love a K7 but can't justify the price right now so have bought a K20D and will no doubt upgrade when I feel in a more comfortable position financially but if it's true that the K20D will rise to £650 then you can use it for a while and probably sell it on ebay for as much if not more than you paid for it and buy the K7 if you decided at a later stage you wanted it. In other words, you can't really lose by getting a K20D now is my reasoning...

I contacted Jacobs to see if any of the £299 GX20s are left, all sold & they're not stocking any in the future

think I might wait a short while to see what happens with prices
