My DFA 100 felt a bit clunky and plasticky when I first got it, mbut this totally belies the remarkable IQ.

The only slight problem is I'm probably going to have a macro lens, but no camera to attach it to for a while!
Did you never watch Blue Peter? Make one from an old Ice cream carton and some sticky backed plastic tape.
.....you'll also need an empty toilet roll tube, cling film and special (rounded end) scissors

I have both the Tamron 90mm (OLD SP 2.5 1:2) and the Sigma 105mm.
Both I can say stunning! I have not used the Pentax 100mm, but if my two are anything to go by, it will be superb.
Any of the three will be worth having on your kit bag.

Hey that sounds like my Cosina 100mm Macro!
It certainly feels like a yogurt pot, but optically it's great!

Sad isn't it but it does feel light and small though. I wonder how the WR version is, never hold or even saw that one.

I have the Tamron 90mm Macro sp di, and it's very nice. Fastish autofocus too imo, for a macro lens. Though I don't like the fact that one has to be careful to not to use it 'wrong'. When using it in AF style one must put the setting ring in af mode or it might break... (according to Tamron)
