Sigma used to do a 180mm up until this year. I don't know if you can still find them new.

I believe the sigma 180mm macro is discontinued (recently - this year), but it's worth keeping an eye on dealers' second hand pages and ebay as they crop up now and then... more than the 200mm pentax does (think I've only ever seen 1 for sale). I believe sigma have a new 150mm macro lens on the stocks but I don't know if it will be made in Pentax K mount.
I have also used my pentax DFA 100mm macro with a 2x teleconverter, and the results are passable for the most part.
Regards

The Sigma 105mm is the longest macro lens currently in production for Pentax mount.
Otherwise there is the Pentax 200mm, Sigma 180mm and the Voigtlander Macro APO-Lanthar 125mm. The Sigma will cost you over £500 if you can find one and the other 2 significantly more.
I sold my Sigma 180mm as the DF-A 100mm with the 1.7x Tc was just as good (imo).

Thanks all
I have checked the sigma site and the 150 macro is not in a pentax mount.
Looks like it's either 100 wr macro or sigma 105.

I contacted Sigma UK and they said no Pentax mount of the new 150mm OS for the forseeable future. I pointed them to that video and they said he was wrong. The 150mm Sigma Macro has been 'announced' as available for Pentax: -

You will most certainly pay well over $1000 these days.
Sure your not thinking of the 90mm?

Try contacting them to see if they have stock.Devon Camera has the 180mm for £520.
Bristol cameras carry very little stock at the best of times and this lens has been discontinued for months.

I bought my K-5 from them ... quite bad marks on the sensor.
Let's just say I am not that impressed with their handling of the situation so far.

This one is an older MF version with a max aperture of f2.8. The newer AF lenses are f3.5.
This MF version does up to 1:2 (half life size) whereas the AF models do 1:1 (full life size).
For macro work, MF is preferable anyway. Greater magnifications can be achieved using extension tubes or bellows.
DISCLAIMER: I have no connection to the seller or interest in this item.

Is the Sigma 105mm the longest length macro lens you can get for the pentax brand.
