macro lens

Looking forward to seeing the results Oggy, I am so tempted to purchase one of these, no pressure or anything but get a move on

OK guys I have cooked and eaten me tea, washed and hung out the clothes and had a very quick play with it.

Both using built in flash. No sharpening. There is something a bit quirky about the focusing,but the first impression is that this lens is capable of capturing a remarkable level of detail.

Ive bitten the bullet and gone for the pentax, since I don't own any pentax lenses! Ill post some pics when I get it, hopefully next week

EDIT: just looked on pc world page and it says not available for home delivery, so either I got the last one or Im about to get an email tommorow morning :s

For anyone that is interested pcworld now have some more Pentax 100mm Macros in stock.

Typical, so how long before we see the pictures?

I very nearly got this lens too from the local Curry's for the same price (mind you currys and PC world are the same anyway). However a visit to a local classic camera place had an immaculate Sigma 105mm EX macro for £100 less. So in the end it was a no brainer. However if the classic camera place did not have it, then a trip to curry's would have been forthcoming.
