Both excellent. The bee is really well detailed (and I applaud your compassion for it)

A couple from Sunday & yesterday.....
A fly, settled on a grass seed head.

Saw this unfortunate creature on the front doorstep, apparently exhausted.
I mixed some sugar-water up & put it close by.
The bee started to lap(?) it up & when I returned to check on its progress, it was gone.

Both K5, 100mm D FA Macro, AF080C ring flash, f16.
Manual focus, handheld.
Elements 11.
Thanks for looking.
Roger.

Yep - these are really top notch!
The first one has excellent image quality and really good composition too - I applaud your eye and technical skills, I'll keep trying to get somewhere close to that level

Wow, these are superb, especially hand held, the flash would have helped freeze the subject, but still very impressive.

I know from frustrating experience how hard it is to get really sharp images even with such good kit, so well done for a good eye and steady hand.
