Hello

I have searched for this topic and have found lots of mentioned but the replies have just confused me..and I don't want to get one from ebay ( had far too much trouble buying there in the past)

Can someone tell me which adapter would be best to convert my old pentax lenses I used on the spotmatic to use on my K10d..

I am very un-technical and would just like to know which to buy as there seem to be various problems with some of them...I shoot in manual a lot so if I have to use manual with one that would be fine..

Thanks
Hello from the waterways of England!
My kit/Pentax K10d / Sigma 105mm macro / pentax 18-55mm / Tamron 70-300mm /and a old Super-Takumar 1:4 20mm ( but I need an adapter for it!)
I want a Pentax 12-24mm or a Tamron 10 - 24mm But can't decide...

You need the genuine Pentax Adapter K, which sells for just under £20.00

How long is a piece of string, they are all good although the pentax 10-17 is a fisheye lens and the other good lens is the Sigma 10-20mm.
It is what you like and can afford.

How about the 14mm DA ? Lovely prime, and you can zoom with your feet.

I carry the 10-17mm around everywhere I go - its great for landscapes where you dont need to worry about straight lines and can focus within a few mm of the front element for unique macro shots - plus its so damn small especially when compared to the rectilinear wide angle zooms you mentioned, its slightly smaller than the kit 18-55mm (but has more weight to it).

I have a few shots taken with it on flickr
