lydford gorge

after a few days away and the wife trying to kill me (joking she said i was trying to kill her )

we went to lydford gorge in devon
it is well worth a visit if you are down that area

it is a mile and half walk in the gorge and in places very narrow to what the call the devils coldren

Definitely worth a visit, take a long lens for the dippers too... Somewhere I have some shots of he wife (when she was just my girlfriend) in a swimming costume at the bottom of that first waterfall (is it called the white lady?) taken on my Canon AE-1 30+ years ago when she lived in Plymouth.

A great pity we won't be able to see that photo Stephen , it sounds like it would prove popular!

I've been there a number of times over the years, but only with little kids in tow, and that is not conducive to proper photography in that environment. In any case, as you hinted you found out Stu, it is not an easy place to 'do justice to. Colours and exposures are all challenging, as we see a little in your shots. You've got some nice angles and have managed to convey a real sense of the place though.

i just hope the wife dont post the one of me about to get wet
