LV problem with K7

I see that there has not been much comment on the K7 recently. Still using mine but it has just developed an annoying problem. If I use Live View it does not return the mirror, the screen goes blank and the camera will not function. I have to take the battery out, replace it and switch on before the mirror will drop into place. Has anyone had this problem and is it fixable.

From your post you've clearly had your K7 a while, and probably know your way around it, but any chance you've inadvertently set something like mirror lock up?

I always favour a full factory re-set of electronic devices if they suddenly display the arrival of gremlins. Sorted me out a few times and at least afterwards you'll know it wasn't you!

Factory reset is a very good idea. Also, sorry if this is a silly question but it's always worth ruling out - have you updated to the latest firmware? 1.13 I think it is now.

I think a factory re-set first, does this cure the problem, then check and update the Firmware as required.

This used to happen on my K7, fairly in-frequently thou and again the remedy was to drop the battery out .

The Firmware update did it. Mine was 1.11 so I was a little out of date. Must pay more attention! Thanks for your help.
