Lunch with Pentax

Just finished my lunch with Pentax...a couple of things. Let's start with ME 'cause that is the most important item here LOL... LOL ..might as well build on my already horrible reputation for having an over inflated ego and add fuel to the fire of those that said I'm a dick head..LOL.

Now that I got that BS out of the way, let's get to the serious stuff. Start saving your pennies..The 645D is not vapourware..that is all I can say and we won't have to wait as long as some have speculated. I know, I know....But it will be worth the wait.

Would love to get some indication of how long the wait (or how BIG the price ) is going to be for the 645D - will have a real impact on me indulging the LBA on those DA*'s or not this summer.

Can you give us some 'ballpark' indication - will the 645D compete with the big FF Canon DSLR's in terms of price? I'm hoping Pentax are going to be brave enough to pitch it under Canon and give them a real scare/run for their money! My 645 lenses are itching and ready to go...

Please remember that he is in the US and I am in Europe. I don't work for Pentax, I am sponsored by them here in France and that spills over worldwide. I am sure that some memos have been sent. I know that Head Office in Europe are aware of all of the Europe based sponsorships. Perhaps I will meet John Carlson one day...

Incidentally, the translator, Katsura says "I have just one small request - please do not copy and paste this text, or provide a direct link at Dpreview. They have just banned another contributor to the Pentax Talk forum there. At the moment I can't stand the place. Not posting there is my own way of a little protest." Now just who might he be referring to?
