Low Barns - Kingfisher

After a heads up from tomkeet, we spent a very nice morning in the Durham Wildlife Trust site at Low Barns.

We had just set up in the hide when a Kingfisher arrived so I clicked away but when I looked at the rear screen..."No card in camera". I'd waited a long time to be able to take an image of one of these birds and just when my luck had changed, I'd stupidly blown it. However luck was definitely with me this morning because the Kingfisher came back and a Wren also posed for us.

So here are the results

Congratulations to you both, a superb set of images, I am very jealous! Are Tom's cropped more or was the lens longer?

All great sharp shots, nice colour tones as well, well done to you both. Tom, I'd pull down the red & yellow saturation a little on that last one.

I wouldn't even know where to find a kingfisher here. We used to have one on a stream in a local woods but there hasn't been one there for years.

Great set of photos from both of you. Glad you were able to get a second chance Barrie.
