Looking for Pentax k-r

Hi Guys,

Can anyone tell me if Pentax have stopped manufacturing the k-r as i've just saved enough money to now buy one been looking in Jessops as they are the only big photography shop in Glasgow but they don't seem to stock it.

Why not give SRS a ring they still advertise that model. link

They will gve you the upoto date information on all the current models.

If you want to purchase from them state that you are a member of this forum and you will get free postage.

I have the k100d at the moment and feel it's now time to update my kit and maybe give the k100d to my daughter who is going to college after summer break to study photography.

I have been looking at the k30 and very tempted to save for that considering the weather this country has been getting recently it is a great looking camera but unfortunately a bit out of my price range at the moment.

Dude, you're in Scotland. Enjoy the rain, and get the K30 (or a used K5). It is worth the investment.

Park Cameras have refurbished K-Rs Black or white for £350.

I am suprised there are not more about, I got my K-X after the K-R came out and there where loads of places selling them cheap because the new model was out.

The York PC World had a K-r twin kit (18-55 + 50-200) displayed in their cabinet last Saturday at about £450
