Long range remote

I am looking for a long range remote for my K7 DSLR I have the Pentax remote but its range is only 2 metres from the back of the camera.
I purchased a JJC RM-E4 remote but this doesn`t work with my K7
I require a remote with a range of more than 6 metres.

I have one in Lancashire Is that far enough?

Works up to 100M away IR. Because it's cheap it has the
Nikon cable for wired use, which you don't really need.
The Pentax one would be small jack to small jack, so
easy to pick up.

The actual IR transmitter is universal and works with
Pentax, Canon etc.
