I was having issues with getting a sharp shot of a dipper last weekend so I switched to video with some nice results:

That's quite impressive Neil. The Q seems to have got a difficult exposure (black bird with a white breast) spot on with quite a bit of detail in both.
The Pentax Q-K adapter with a shutter built in will give you sharp stills images, but at a higher price than the camera!!
