Last of the Penstemons in the garden, taken this morning on a damp and murky sky, hence high ISO 1100, K1 and smc dfa 100 f2.8 macro wr, hand held.
All comments welcome, but I was only playing and thought I would catch this flower and chuck it in here to hopefully brighten up the day.

Sharp where it needs to be and a lovely welcome splash of colour.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

You've got that flower spot on . I find it difficult to get flowers of that colour looking right with a K3. Lighting? Camera? Sensor? The brain behind the viewfinder? I've no idea**. But I'm pretty sure that I wouldn't have been able to get the flower looking so good.

** Please don't tell me I need to get a K1...

Thank you David and Steve for your kind comments.
I did take time faffing with DCP files etc in RT and other settings to get it how I saw it, so still awkward you might say with a K1.

Sharp focus on the important part with such beautifully natural colour - it's funny how much time we can take to make something look as we saw it

That was well worth the effort - as they say 'you won't win if you don't take part' and that is a winner. I especially like the capture of the raindrops.

Best regards
