Its a nice enough shot, nice and sharp, looks a little dark on my monitor though.

I also find it a bit too dark and a bit lacking in... hmm, don't know what exactly.
But I can see the qualities in it as well. First there is the colours, lovely and probably helped a bit by being on the dark side. The two pelicans being of different colour does help it. The light seems also quite lovely.
And last but not least, it's tack sharp.
The longer I look at it the more I like it. Maybe it's not lacking after all?

Like the others I find it a bit dark. Nice sharp image of two pleasantly fat birds though!

Seems a bit dark on my screen too. I think what may be 'missing' is sparkle.
With the light the way it is, the picture should have a bit more sparkle! Does that make sense?
Lovely and sharp.

Thanks everybody. I understand what you are saying, it was a dark November day which didn't help(that's my excuse). Perhaps it would be nice to have a bit of sparkle on the water. Can it be put there with post processing? If anybody wants to "play" you're welcome.
Does anybody know why they are different colours, is one a youngster?
Cheers,
Howard
