Locked s5n

When I try to access the menu in shooting mode to change the type of picture (e.g. night vs. landscape) or shoot video, an orange lock appears on my LCD screen. I assume this means that the camera has somehow been locked. How do I unlock it? This feature is not mentioned anywhere in the manual and as far as I can tell pentax offers no true customer service via a help line or website. Can someone please help!!!

Hi dmcl, and welcome to the forum,

I've just had a look around the net, and apparently you will be in "green mode", to get this. Press the "quick Button" next to the zoom button, and it should switch off the lock (called the Key mark apparently) icon.

Let us know how you get on.

EDIT. sorry, forgot the link to the info..

Hi Liam, thanks. I've been at this for over a week, I looked all through the book and searched the web, but couldn't find anything on the "little padlock". You replied within 30 minutes of posting the question, many thanks
