I like it, the colours are fantastic (if a bit on the saturated side; does no harm here, I think. They look even more saturated when I load the pic into Photoshop) the sky wonderful. I also like the composition with the hills left and right leading the view into the middle and on to the loch.

What I don't like so much is the halo of the hills, most visible on the right one but also on the left and in the centre.

I also would have been tempted to bring out the dramatic sky a bit more. In fact, I gave in to this temptation. Hope you don't mind me playing around with this wonderful image:

I think it is a beautiful image - a great composition. Looking at the original I was quite taken by the light, and the variations of the light across the landscape. The modified version from Prieni is also great - I think more dramatic, although I find it really hard to decide which I prefer. Probably the original version just edges it for me, although had I taken this picture myself I may have processed it to look more like the latter! I guess maybe I think the former looks a little more natural (although not being there, I cannot say why I think that...)

In summary - a really good picture! (in my opinion)

Thanks gents, Prieni; take your point about the halo`s. the image is a combination of 2 raw conversions. Will spend some more time on it i think.

Can't get the EXIF data up on the shot but would think it was the 16mm, would be interested in the f setting and the shutter speed, find it well taken and appealing. The composition is spot on and really draws you into the shot; I like the colour of the original best although I too may well have produced something more like the second. When you say it is from two raw shots do you mean the sky from one or are we talking HDR type process. Being new to landscape work I am impressed and have found your shot interesting, beautiful and instructive, thank you.
