Dave,
Is that an offer to donate/loan the 50mm lens ?
I don't mind doing a bit of admin work in terms of keeping track of what items are available and who's got what at any particular time - although there is still a doubt in my mind about qualifying criteria for borrowing items (do we loan items to new members with only one or two posts:

Just a suggestion - would it not be better to have a thread for each item? Then only the OP needs to be involved. So OP says "would anyone like to borrow my Pentax item?" Replier 1 says yes please, OP can decide to send or not, and when the item gets home the thread can be removed.
Nobody else gets involved, and nobody takes any resposibility apart from the posters. Caveat Emptor. Let the "buyer" and indeed the "seller" beware.
I can see this could be full of potential problems and sooner or later you will lose your item. I suggest it would be better to just sell your item to someone and let them sell it on when they've finished with it. You don't have to charge much, but you might find someone buying it to put on eBay....
Be careful out there.....

Haydn - yup, pretty much. I'd go along with the suggestion that there would have to have some sort of qualification critera...posts?...join date?...I hadn't thought about it too much being mabye a little idealistic, but if anything, it may be a way to counter John's concerns about someone taking the opportunity to shift it on eBay.
John, it's fair point, but it would be a shame not to give it a try. If there are some who are that selfish, and that hard up, then sobeit. If it's not accepted in the spirit that it's meant then I'm happy to accept that risk.

You could start a "loan" thread for the item and I'll make it a "sticky" so it stays at the top. Just keep a track of what's going on and where it is in the thread.
I was first to respond to the offer and hence get to use the copier first and will pass it on to the next forum member in the queue - which currently is Tim followed by Kris, Gary & Lynton.
John, I'd be grateful if you could move this post to the most suitable location & make it a 'sticky' as you suggested.
