An excellent shot.
Do you also have the DA 12 -24 lens, because I would be keen to see some good architecture shots taken with one ?

Thanks guys.
Hyram, I don't own one but I would certainly like to get my hands on one.
It would serve me well in Canary Wharf.

Your right there Gareth, but i'll need to check for sure what that thing is before I 'clone' it out.

It probably is for cleaning, but may have been included in the design as well, because it's probably always there. It might look odd removed. Architects often have exposed cables inside buildings that are part of the design and photographers would probably clone them out. Thanks guys.

I'd leave this alone.

Thanks Shim.
The Lloyds Building is a bit of an oddity, it doesn't have any normal windows other than very small rectangular slots, and of course the portholes.

Sack the Architect... what use is that to anybody in the building He does have what looks like rubbish chutes going down on the right, could also be for air extraction and they are obviously part of the design, because they are usually hidden. Near that is a circular column which isn't straight (possibly supporting the stairs) and I can't imagine that being anything to do with the design..... maybe it's falling down Thanks Shim.

As you can see this buildin' wears its innards on the outside, these are all the heatin' and air extractin' ducts, etc.
In my shot those are enclosed stairwells, and of course this buildin' has elevators operatin' on its exterior too.
I would go mad workin' in a place like this with only an aritficial light source.
Here is another shot of mine taken on the same day.

That stuffs not too bad if it's new. The Printworks in Manchester has a lot of fake rusting ducts, to make it look old but they look absolutely horrible, although the rest of The Printworks is OK.
I like the industrial look inside buildings with lighting cable trays etc. showing, but they have to be done right with none of the support nuts showing. The Virgin Megastore in Manchester was a good example, (not sure if it's still there).
