Livingston - Shopping Centre

I was shopping with my daughter last weekend, and managed to relieve the boredom, by taking a few shots of the new part of the Livingston Shopping Centre. Within seconds, 2 security guards approached me and asked me to stop taking photographs of the buildings.

They said I could take pictures of my family around the Christmas Tree, but that was all.

I said ok, I was on their property, but didn't mention I was using a fisheye !!!

I quite like the photo. Some of the figures look ghostly!Gives it a sense of movement.
You should be able to take photos anywhere you like! It is disgusting so many innocent photographers are asked to stop taking pictures! Always in public places! They even stop young kids.Do they suspect we are all terrorists?

Most shopping centres, if not all, are actually private property. Use a P&S camera and you'll usually have no problem.

I like the image, the use of the fish-eye definitely makes the photograph.

It would be completely different on the Sigma 10-20.

Great colour.

Not the best ever picture, but it was 'local' and maybe 'News-Worthy' as it shows the new part of the shopping centre that was opened recently.

I think that I should have . . . . . . gotta go, . . . . . seems to be security guards with baseball bats approaching the house . . . . . . .

Sorry, 'laurencea', I should have said thanks for noticing and commenting, THANKS !!!

Nice to see you looked.

well done on getting it on there... i felt a twinge of pride when i saw it! i had a pic in that feature a couple of years ago, alas, not taken with the pentax.

i was going to send in a shot from my trip to Ed last weekend, but none were really special.

the pic looked nice when scrolling through this week's selection, it really jumped out.

Just a quick p.s.

I've had a few of my image's on the BBC Scotland's web page, and although, I always say the picture was taken on a PENTAX, this is never passed on.

Pity, as I'm sure some would like to know.

Hey, looks good the new part of the shopping centre. I've gotta drop by some time. I'll leave my K10D at home though...
