Nice set and a difficult choice. The horizon in No 2 is slightly off square, and I find the blue of the sky in No 3 a little weird. I like the muted simplicity of No 4 myself but I would guess the "wow" factor of the skies in No 1 would attract many people. Hmmmm, No 1. Probably.

Has to be No2......followed by No3 if it had also been in portrait mode!

2 or 3 for me too - I voted for 3. This would be contingent on lily pads being a common sight on those lakes

Many thanks Kris. I've probably over-fiddled with the sky in #3 (the temptation of Lightroom grads can be overwhelming :blush but this is easily toned down. The horizon in #2 was fixed in LR to the white band of still water... but the assymetrical trees do still give it an 'off-kilter' look. Possibly not resolvable...

It's a pity #3 isn't in portrait mode. I really like it, but a portrait version would probably have been better.
# 1 has a lovely sky, but it is doesn't do a lot for me tbh.
#2 with the lily flowers from #3 and you would have had a clear winner!

Short explanation
I'm thinking of getting one of these enlarged for a gift, and want to know if any of them pass muster....

Just had a fortnight in the US, including a spell catching up with old friends in Minnesota (the land of 10,000 lakes; state bird the mosquito). Whilst there they took us to stay in a cabin owned by some friends of theirs on Little Moose Lake, The Middle of No-where, Minnesota. Just a fantastic spot and really really wonderful hosts who we want to now send a 'thankyou' gift to. I had little time for photography given the hectic schedule of swimming, boating, eating, beer drinking etc they put us through, but if any of these shots of their lake pass muster I might get an enlargement and send it out to them.
So all opinions welcome over which (if any) are worth the treatment. Advice on alternative PP / cropping also welcome.
