A few images I managed to shoot today of the lion at Bristol Zoo as we walked around there trying to make sure we didn't lose any kids along the way!!

Pentax K3ii & Sigma 70-200 (playing up again with refusing to auto focus and making the camera display go do-laly)

these are the best Lion portrait shots i have ever seen since the mono ones from "puma", a.ka. Shaun Wilson, a few years back. very well shot and great processing

These are fine shots Gareth, the lens has done a great job when it was behaving itself!

These are very reminiscent of Shaun Wilson's shots of lions, i.e. beautifully rendered with dark backgrounds and frame-filling subjects. The detail, colour and contrast are superb and the exposure is spot on.

I like the whole set.
