Lines

I have to admit to having thing about lines. Sometimes straight, sometimes curved; and preferably man-made on the ground. Here are a few from last evening to begin with. K3 with 50-135 and K70 with 28-105. Can't be easy mowing on hillsides like we have around here on the edge of the Pennines!

Another lines person - excellent!

No. 4 for its simplicity and purity of form. Nos. 3 and 6 for the hint of lines in the sky reflecting those on the ground.

These are all great.... No 4 really stands out because of the different designs on each field.

Do you know what these are for? Are the higher bits for a different crop? What is the grassed flat area for?

Lovely set with Nos. 1 and 4 being my favourites, with 4 being the outstanding one because of its simplicity.

What a super set... 1,3,4 and 7 for me, but the whole set hangs together really well... particularly no.1 for the wiggliness (technical term) in the lines... and the light...

Aren't the lines just the mown hay drying in the sun?

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

It is always nice to get down to the technical details

Lovely set. The land itself in #3 seems to be moving into shape, accompanying the movement of the hay.

Well, happy to have sparked a bit of interest - more photographers than professional farmers around, it seems!
As regards the different patterns in no.5, I had spotted an even more eye-catching set earlier in the day, but by the time I got back with the camera for the evening light, they had cleared up the fields and the patterns were all gone!
I don't think there's any hay involved, either, just mown grass to be used for sileage! Still, if it gives a bit of visual pleasure to us "townies", there's plenty of "wiggliness" around to please the eye at this time of year!
Thanks to all for your comments!
