All the work so far has been for them to get working releases
after that I suppose they will start bringing it up to date.

Even the file save is still as it was when HDD's space was
at a premium. It defaults to reducing the file size when
you save, but you can change that.
Just compared the file size and it saved the file I was playing with to 768H x 1024W res 300pp. That is the size we use at the camera club for PDI's but with a resolution of 72ppi. I don't think this will be a major problem

Stan you need to go into Edit - Preferences - Save

Change Resize To: to Don't Limit

I've also set the JPG Quality to 98

Check the Color profile is the same as PS

I'm not sure if the Lightzone screen display is Colour Managed yet?

I'm delighted to see v4 released for Linux. I used to use LZ a bit and really liked the way it worked but v3 dropped too far behind the curve. I'll install v4 pronto and see how it compares with today's alternatives.

Note to Win8 users - Win8 is having none of it, unless you allow it past the UAC (User Account Control).

I tried to download and install it, and Mr Gates' "beast from Hell" decided to block it "to protect my computer"...

You could turn UAC off, install and turn back on.
