Lightroom USA prices

Just browsing the 'other' forum where they have noticed the Lightroom 3 sale prices of $120 or $179 on amazon.com. Incredible value!

So... what is to stop anyone buying it from/in the US and using on a UK computer? Maybe small print will say something about only using this in the USA (but I have a laptop which travels!).

I guess I am a little miffed that we don't get to see such special sale prices from Adobe in the UK. Also it is probably about time for Lightroom4 to be arriving perhaps this is and end of product sale.

Yesterday PC World was selling the full version of Lightroom3 for £147 inc. VAT. However the price has shot up to £211 today.

On the America thing. On the packaging it sayes " ONLY FOR DISTRIBUTION IN Europe, Central America, South America, Middle East, Caribbean

Not for distribution within the EEA if first put on the market outside the EEA

Not for distribution in Asia Pacific or North America"

I'll let you work that one out.

Thanks to Galoot I now have LR3 at what I would say is a very good price. Must be lr4 out soon...

If LR4 has: content aware/clone healing brushes, HDR and panorama stitching I will be very happy.
