Lightroom Adjustment Brush

I thought I better try and start using the LR5 adjustment brush a bit more, I didn't realise how useful it was.

1.RAW image no PP (K3 DA*300mm)

I sit at a computer all day at work so don't like doing too much PP on photos at home.
The adjustment brush is easy and quick to use so I may have to have a re-think and work on my images a bit more in the future.

I think this might be in the wrong section, maybe it should be in the general digital photography section.

Nice shot Steve ... I can see its brighter and a little more yellow saturation,but its not really clear what adjustment parameters were active on the brush. Knowing this would be helpful. FWIW I actually prefer the slightly darker original .... I do agree that most of us should be doing more and more PP at the computer.

In this instance is it not just as easy to use the "Shadows" and "Highlights" sliders?

Yep, it's like spot the difference.

In some circumstances I find the adjustment brush extremely useful - generally on images where the target area for adjustment is 'local' and use of the adjustment sliders would negatively impact other areas of the image,

In the above example - looks to me as if the brush has been a little over used perhaps? There is an improvement around the eye area but other areas appear to have suffered - foreground - background - wing?

Although the difference is subtle I do prefer the 2nd adjusted shot. The first looks like it's been adjusted to me. The contrast of the bird seems slightly out compared to the rest of the image, but it is very very slight.
