Lightroom 2 and Windows Vista Home Basic

Hi all

I'm contemplating Lightroom 2. However, according to Adobe, this requires as a minimum Vista Home Premium. I find this to be very annoying having only Home Basic. Why should there be any difference?

Has anyone tried Lightroom 2 on Home Basic or has any idea what the drawbacks might be? Obviously I can try and download the free 30 day trial, but I still have to know what might go wrong to see if it does go wrong, if you see what I mean!

I am reluctant to give Microsoft any more money to upgrade to Home Premium.

Lightroom will work with Home Basic,
