What an unusual lighthouse no.1 is , Ems. Why is it so thin? This could be the beginning of an interesting series!

From what I see, it's a dry lighthouse and does not require girth to withstand wave impact?????I have no idea why its so thin??? These were at Dungeness very weird place. The second one is the old lighthouse No 1 is the replacement
Nice images.

Your first shot has a halo around the light house a bit like over-done HDR. Maybe too much sharpening? Other than that, they are super photos.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

I'd no idea this was Dungeness, Ems. I've always wanted to go there. One of those weird bits of the British coast that's special. Worth more photographs, I think.

Dungeness is a wonderful and weird place. One of my favourite spots.
Added it the ever lengthening list of places to re-visit in the UK!
As long as you don't go too near the power station or trample the plants you can wander pretty much at will I think. We used to go there on the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch railway.
Can you still go up the old lighthouse?

I hope you get back there again Emma, it is a magical place.
Glad to hear you can still go up. My sister-in-law lives not so far away, but somehow there is never time for such trips when we visit her.

Emma,
Not sure what has happened in the first - to the LHS of the light house, there are what appear to be 'squiggles' in front of the clouds? Did you shoot that one thru glass per chance? Or was it film, and scuffs on the negative?
