Found myself in Glenties, County Donegal on St Patrick's Day, where there was an attempt to get the town into the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest number of leprechauns in the same place at the same time.

A seriously bonkers, great fun event. They held the record for a couple of hours, when it was cruelly taken away by a similar event in Bandon, County Cork who got 1263 folk dressed as leprechauns and out on their street. Crushing disappointment was conspicuous by absence as the Paddy's night craic commenced...
