Prices are currently likely to rise as new stocks are bought in. It won't get any better, so my advice is to move quickly.

My advice is to buy pretty soon as some of the Pentax increases are going to be big... The increase covers DSLR, Lenses & Accessories. All stock that I buy from Pentax after the 1st June will be at the new price, and am buying lots this month to see us through for as long as possible..

Thanks very much for the information Chris!
Can we expect a similar situation from Sigma/Tamron prices as well do you think?

Well, the Sigma 100-300 F4 went up from £759 to £1159, if we see that kind of price rise in say the DA* 60-250, I will be very glad I bought mine on release! Also glad that I think we are covered for lenses now (ha ha!), so we will see what happens to 2nd hand prices in a couple of months, could get very interesting!

This increase is because of the Yen or because of the drop in value of the Pound?
I don't know what the normal price for a "Bigma" is in the UK? I got my Bigma a month ago for 959 Euro's.

Pentax 55-300 £195 at SRS
Pentax 50 FA £155
and less attention on Sigma 10-20 and Pentax 12-24.
What I noted is that prices are very stable and usually there are no discount.
Is it like that, maybe only for some lenses, or can I hope in any promotion (at SRS or somewhere else?)
Thank you
