This lens surprises me John. I got it in a package I bought on EBay and although I've hardly used it I can't bring myself to sell it .. yet. Sharp, fast AF but ugly as sin and noisy. Still an excellent lens though.
That sums it up very well, mine sometimes finds a place in my prime lens kit, replacing the FA 135/2.8, it shares the same filter size as most of my primes 49mm and fits the same case as the FA 135. It's definitely a keeper IMHO.This lens surprises me John. I got it in a package I bought on EBay and although I've hardly used it I can't bring myself to sell it .. yet. Thank mate.
60-250 or 300 ..both are great lenses, do you need the flexibility ? If not then the DA*300 is a wonderful lens.
My experience with the DA*60-250 and a converter (Tamron x1.4) was sadly less than stellar, if you are considering the the converter route I would stick to the 300mm prime.
Thank mate.

Things in Oly land are just tickety-boo thanks...
Actually from the scandalous recent events it sounds like better news on the horizon, we'll see.
I keep a reasonably regular eye out for developments with Pentax, still have a soft spot for the gear

Great set of images for IQ evaluation. Thank you very much for your time effort and trouble.
I reckon the Pentax 300 Da will be the one for me.
