Lens Warranty

Can someone tell me how the pentax warranty works?

Can i take a faulty lens to any pentax centre and get it fixed?

Im asking as i have bought a lens off ebay (which is new) and wondered how i could prove purchase without a till recipt if required to get a warranty repair done.

Warranty is not normally transferable, so I suppose it depends on whether or not you have bought from a dealer or a private seller.

If from a private selloer i think no warranty at all.

If from dealer, maybe. But surely you have a receipt if you paid by PayPal - just print it off if required.

I wasnt sure if a paypal reciept would be sufficient.

I am just inquiring as these ebay sellers all state "New with warranty" but i was wondering if it came to it weather pentax are happy with a paypal reciept as proof of purchase to a ebay seller.

Often these sellers provide warranty either through their own business or through a third party.
Ask if it has Pentax warranty & if not, who provides it.
