Hi,

I've just dug out my old Pentax P30 and have been enjoying taking pictures manually again!!

Can anyone recommend a good telephoto lens? I enjoy taking wildlife pictures, so a decent telephoto lens is a must - but the range available seems bewildering to me, and I can't find anywhere that recommends a good one for my particular model.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks,

Adam

The Pentax A and M 400mm lenses come up on Ebay from time to time, and are pretty good, without breaking the bank.

But if your budget will run to it, you won't do better than this:

It's a bit battered, but just remember how professional that will make you look.

if that goes for less than the £350 I paid for my Tamron, I shall screem! on the other hand it is also more than twice the weight of my Tamron (which is quite heavy enough thankyou!)
you don't have to be mad to post here

but it does help

I think it will take more than a big lens to make me look professional

Thanks for the advice - will scour e-bay!
