You won't really find any fast long lenses with autofocus for £300 new. Second hand you may find something. Problem is F2.8 lenses and zooms tend to be rather expensive.
I mean, the Sigma EX 100-300/4 APO DG is £750 and it is only F4.
The new DA* lenses are good indoors but they are a bit too short to be of use. If you can get that Sigma it looks to be the best option arround at the moment. Only one stop slower than F2.8 so bumping up the ISO sensitivity one stop should be fine.

Maybe getting a Sigma EX 28-70 or 24-70 EX, it gives a 105mm equiv long end on the K10D - the lenses usually retail around 230-300 pounds....
add some money for a 1.4 converter you go all the way to 150 mm equiv f4....
Depends I suppose on HOW close you want to get on the action if you're indoors.
I also have the Sigma EX 70-200 and 100-300 lenses - GORGEOUS

The K10Ds 10MP sensor really comes in handy in indoor sports.
you can afford to use a shorter, faster lens and crop a bit tighter.
My most used lens for indoor sport is my Tamron 90mm F2.5 macro, but then most of my indoor sport is fencing and I can get pretty close in.

Im going to use it for some indoor photo shooting. To be more exact - shooting pics - for indoor soccer and handball...people in motion.
The places seems to be somehow dark - and im a little fuzzed about which lens to pick??!! . Doenst have to be pentax lens - sigma will do fine.
I think I need a low F-value as well as some zoom.....any good suggestions?
Max £300 if possible!
