Quite different from my last set of photos from Biarritz - these are the M35/f2.8 with a 12mm extension tube. Not quite as easy to make interesting use of as the 28/3.5 + 12mm I used for the curtain shots a while back, but I might follow up on the general idea of bodily closeups with other combinations... A good time for introversion?

Interesting shapes.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Beautiful, fascinating, intriguing.

And full marks for having the imagination to see a photo opportunity in something so familiar. Proof that we don't have to go out and travel for miles to find creative opportunities.

Thank you both for looking. Steve, yes indeed, we have to look a bit closer than usual these days, and use a bit of imagination. Cheers.

I do enjoy your different approach to subjects Sry - and these two are both interesting and well executed.

If I were to offer a suggestion (purely my opinion) - I would try to make the grey palette in the second closer to the first. The first image is soft, delicate and warm - the second has more contrast and is a little harsher. It may not work (clearly there is a lot more shadow in the second), but it might be worth a try.

Excellent - Keep them coming

Really clever... surprising and enlightening, in equal measure... as John says, keep 'em coming...

Much appreciated Bill and Lenny. Lenny, I quite agree with your assessment, especially when both are seen side by side. Unfortunately there is not much light to play around with in there, and my efforts to 'go light' only resulted in loss of shape and form. Hence the move to a more contrasty look... As to keeping them coming, well... those two were the easy ones - now I need to throw some real work at the subject!
