You've explored around and revealed it well ... No 2 is my favourite with its good exposure control and the flash of light in the top. This might have been a candidate for some upwards pointing fill -flash, just to reveal a little more inside.

thanks for comments, not a lover of flash Nigel , i metered for outside and just lifted shadows in pp. may have to revise my feelings on flash as i intend to do a project 52 using Village church interiors as a subject but must admit i will use exposure bracketing (HDR) even then before i reach for the flash.
