I should add that what you see in the photo is it. There isn't some huge display or storage area hidden out of frame. Three cabinets, one wall unit, four members of staff.

Two actually, the man and the woman. The guys in white shirts are the staff (there's two on the far left but you can only see one guy's legs).

I bet only one is buying, the other is merely in attendance - bit like my wife and myself in M&S or a Toolshop

Nicholas in London were originally just like an old fashioned jewellers in the mid 70's you sat down at a table and they brought out what you wanted to look at. I don't think they are anything like that now.

What are you doing Tim? I have always wanted most dearly to own a Leica, and now you have just fired up my desire once again.

Iltexano - no, I can't afford anything in there!

Pauly just go for it! £5K for the M9 - or £20K for the M9 in titanium - both sound perfectly sensible to me

Nice shot, very precise framing (unless you cropped it). Assuming you didn't that's one of the advantages of a DSLR with a 100% coverage viewfinder! Something you can't get from Leica...

(Plus I can't afford one).

Not much to it. Though you probably don't need much storage. I can't imagine it's a high turnover item.

To me a shop like that says you're paying way over the odds for whatever it is you're buying.
But then, I'm a cynical old bar steward.....

Besides I'm going to win the M9 in the FFordes/AP lucky dip.....

[Besides I'm going to win the M9 in the FFordes/AP lucky dip.....[/quote]Damn I thought I was going to win that

I have no hope of buying a Leica but if I do find the cash I'll visit the Pentax section of SRS instead
K10D, K5 plus plenty of clueless enthusiasm.
