Least used, but difficult to part with ?

400mm lenses in Pentax mount are hard to come by. Hold on to it.
My least used is a Tokina 80-200 f2.8 - great optically, but a big beast.

Probably the other end for me - my DA 10-17.

My Auto 110 kit has seen *no* use in over a decade but considering the pitiful prices they fetch on eBay I don't imagine selling it any time soon (or ever!). Makes an interesting talking piece if nothing else...

I went in search of an Auto 110 last month, ended up paying £15 for a very nice one with a 24mm lens and flash included. They're superb little cameras, just a pity they never caught on. I keep being tempted by a 50mm lens for it after seeing one for £13 with both caps and lens hood...

Mike, I'd give you a tenner for it. Hate to see it gathering dust!
My unresolved obsession with old glass is all very well, but with the small aspc conversion ratio there's no way of acquiring genuine wide angles. My collection starts with the 18-55 standard zoom. And that's where it'll end, given the prices of modern glass!

For me, It would be my very first 'proper' camera. Praktica MTL3. bought in the mid eighties, for the astonishing sum of £50! (you can't give them away, now). I bought it from the Clear vue projection company, of Finsbury Park, London. This was the kind of shop that sadly, doesn't exist anymore. A shambolic, Aladin's cave of a place, that contained the most obscure and ancient photographic and cine equipment.
Also, my 105mm f2.8 Auto Takumar, bought around the same time as the Praktica. A very strange lens, with a cocking lever on the side to spring load the aperture blades! It dates from the late fifties, or early sixties, but looks like it was made last month.
I don't use either of the above, but will never part with them.

My SMC-M 50mm f/2 lens that came with my first ever SLR. I tend to use the K f/1.2 or the A f/1.4, or various Takumars on my screw mount cameras. Funny you should bring this up as I took some photos with it this morning out of pure sentiment!

PS Why don't you use the 12-24mm Mike? Mine gets used at almost every outing.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

My SMC-A 35-105 f3.5. It's a big, heavy beast, but it looks great and I keep thinking it will come in handy one day. Problem is, I almost never use zooms. Next would be my two flashguns. I never use flash, either.
I used to think my least needed item was my Pentax stereo attachment and accompanying 3D slide viewer. Until I sold them both for peanuts ...

Least used that I wouldn't get rid of - the Bigma and my poor old broken Ds.
Least used I might get rid of - the Sigma 24-70 2.8 EX and the Pentax 50-135*.
Least used that I would get definitely rid of (if I could be bothered to advertise it) - the Sigma 10-20.
Most used which I am tempted to get rid of - K20D

For me perhaps my 400mm lens, I only use it for taking the odd photo of the moon, but I know I would regret it if I sold it. Anyone else out there find they only use their longest lenses (and perhaps most expensive glass) least of all ?
Cheers,
/Ian
