It's been a beautiful day here in Londontown. Here is a memorial to the greatest actor that ever lived! There, i've said it...

Unusual angle making an excellent shot. I hope you are planning an exhibition of your statues series at some point.

Best wishes, Kris.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

What a successful image, Paul. Wouldn't have worked half an hour earlier or later.

I had great fun at the weekend photographing the statues and memorials in and around Coventry Cathedral. It could become addictive!
Best wishes,

Andrew

Exhibition? Chance would be a fine thing, Kris.

At the moment i'm just trying to amass a lot of images for the project, once i'm happy with the amount of images i've produced then i'll sit down and sort out the best. After that i'll have a go at using BlurbBooks to publish 'em.
There are some photos i'd like to re-take and do again, 'St Paul's' is one.

Cheers anyway, Kris.

Thanks, Andrew.

It is a nice thing to do, not only do you get a picture but you end up a little wiser about things.

Laurence happened to be my thousandth posting on here!

Bravo and a beautifully themed image.

Best regards

I think this is a great shot. Without knowing who the memorial is for it still stands on merit as a well captured shadow - the sword lends an air of menace which appeals to me. Nice one Pauly!

The unusual composition, using the shadow to show the statue, and the plinth to show the subject, works really well.

Very nice Pauly! The sword is great, and perfect timing to get a recognisable shadow.

One thing I really like about your images Paul is you try and look outside of the box and look for a different shot rather than go for the cliche head on aproach
Thanks tim, thanks Gareth.

Thanks again Gareth, for that recognition.
