Thanks for your comments J. You know ime allways appreciative of them wether you are a pro or not

Regarding the lens, I would like a 500mm but i cant afford one and tbh i was strugleing to hold the 300mm steady LOL.

As for the cheetah I got lucky with him, he came and sat right infront of me and stared at me through the glass window!

Penguins, well I tryed to get other angles but unfortunatly there was so many dam kids I couldnt move for love nor money!

And yes its a sea lion lol

Wish I had a chance to go on a safari, Ide happily sit and watch em for hours, Unfortunatly I dont think my ms would!

Ile have to look up Hammerton for my next venture

Coming back to the Liz hows this?

Andy,

If I can manage a long lens I am sure you can with practise. Try steadying your breathing before you shot. Make sure your elbows are tucked in. Try and lean against something or rest the lens on something. Reset yourself if necessary making sure you are standing steady. Trust me you will get there. On safari we do a lot of roof shots. I am only 4'11" and really struggle to reach even standing on the seats, so often end up resting the lens on my other arm or on somebody else's shoulder - preferable right by their ear so that they are put off their shots my the AF motor No only kidding, everybody wants each other to get the best shots they can

Keep an eye out you never know when one will appear

All pretty good shots, but to many in one go, I know what it is like taking shots in a zoo, Jack.

Is this what you are aiming for with the lizard:

A similar technique to the one Martin shows in the sand scuplture thread. I created a new hue/saturation adjustment layer and slightly de-saturated the green channel. I then took a soft edged brush and painted black over the lizard to reveal the original.

Last of all I think you should be your own worst critic. And be able and willing to edit your work down to the bone.
