You did well. I struggled to keep both of them in the frame with my DA*300 and did not get the exposure right in many of my attempts.

Miles - this one was take at 260mm and +1 stop exposure compensation. I found that 300mm was too long most of the time for the pair, except for when they were a long way off.

Yes I enjoyed it very much and am now working through 700 photos ( of very variable quality)but I got a few nice ones. You are right 300mm is really too long for more than one aircraft, but I wanted to put the lens through its paces as I have only had it for a few months. I also had the 55-300 with me but on the whole I got the more pleasing photos from the DA*300 which produces better contrast than the 55-300.

I meant I had just downloaded my photos onto my computer, just too many taken and there is a lot to go through and they were taken on the D3, I'll be using the K-3 + K-5 in about 3 weeks in Goodwood.

I was there on both days with my car club. If you saw a strange man in a costume of stripy top and long stripy socks, then that was me!
