The title is terrible I cant see any light from the lamp
Apart from that I like it, cant decide if I would prefer some detail in the trees or not, although I think it would detract the eye from the lamp a little so leave it as it is.
EDIT: Typo

Kris I am risking being blunt here. The title is indeed not ideal but more than that I am not sure what is meant to capture my eye and delight it? The sky is lovely and very well exposed but the rest of it just seems to be an excuse to look at the sky. The glass of the lamp has changed the way the the sky looks which isn't a surprise but it doesn't look good. The trees seem a bit imbalanced and loom very large with little purpose. Not one of your best I fear!

Please be blunt, the reason I posted it is I am unsure about it! It was intended as a little bit of a visual pun. I have also tried a square crop which cuts down on the amount of black but my better half preferred the shot as posted.
Cheers, Kris.

It is an illusion that photos are made with the camera… they are made with the eye, heart and head. Henri Cartier-Bresson
Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

Maybe a portrait crop to the left might help? Having said that, I think ultimately this shot, whilst having interesting elements, simply doesn't work as a whole. Maybe mono?

I think I'll just abandon this one as an experiment that didn't quite come off.
