Nice, but a bit too dark really. Should try it earlier in the evening.

Hi Duncan, oh and welcome to the forum..
That was the effect I was going for..
It's actually darkened from the original, as it gets rid of the distracting areas of the houses to the right, the one with the obvious gable of which, is painted white. If it wasn't red, orange or blue, then it had to go.. leaving all distracting areas as just a silhouette. It was taken with enough daylight to walk around without the lights being on, although the original is perhaps a stop under-exposed. I'll have another play with it, to perhaps get the colours brighter, but keeping the silhouettes where they are.

I think my technical failings have been lucky for once. As usual, just a bit of cropping, levels and a bit of UsM to get to this. It's Southsea Prom taken this evening.
