I must say the "gold green" one doesn't look bad ^^;

Still wishing they offered the same colour options here in Europe

I thought the orange didn't look so good with the black lens but the colour isn't really bad either but not my personal choice.
Silver body with brown grip would be my choice.

Was thinking they would looked quite horrible but that isn't the case.

You're right. It doesn't look bad.

It looks terrible.

I'm only trying to say something nice about Pentax then you are the one to be so negative about it, so just be honest and say to us you want one

But really the Ipod has been such success because of the design right and colour was important.
The colour pick "feature" might have brought a new, "younger" generation to Pentax here in EU and the USA or do you have other thoughts about that?

At least it might have brought Pentax into the spot light as trendy.

I just love Google translations!

To be honest,
In the Express when I received a whole person in a very excited state,
In the office cheering, screaming and everything came,
Rapid heart beat, high blood pressure!
In the box, photographed shaking hands a whole month not,
And laugh a whole mouth super acid, but could not stop feeling really tired.
"When I received a whole person in a very excited state"?!?

Don't think about it, your head will hurt.

Camera colours? I quite like black really. But white could be good for weddings and gold plated if you go up-market.

But I usually use my cameras to make images so the colour of the camera doesn't really matter very much.....
Best regards, John

Yeah google makes your day ^^

Angela do you really think it looks cheap?
I thought so to of the white version KM till I saw it in the store and it looked pretty good actually, not something I would buy though but not cheap looking or anything.

About colours, think about the Ipod generation, they are 18 to 26 now. Won't you think that they would like it if they can customized their camera?

Of course maybe not the best strategy for the DSLR market but you see many people buying DSLR just to look interesting so for them it might be appealing those funky colours.

Well, it's certainly got some publicity, and that's no bad thing.

But I'm with Henry Ford: "You can have any colour you want. So long as it's black.".

You do know the Model Ts in different colours were produced from 1908 to 1914, and then again from 1926 to 1927.

I'm being honest here - I think that sort of gold/green thing is a monstrosity - it , in my eyes , really cheapens it. It's shiny !! It screams out " look at me ". My best pics have been taken when folk weren't aware of me - and that's using a cheap wee Kodak .

The dark blue is gorgeous - very understated but it still attracts attention.

Remember all the fuss at the beginning with iPods - the white ear buds gave them away and folk were being mugged for their iPods because they were so new and different and indeed were cultish ?

Now everyone is into white ear buds [ except me - they don't work with hearing aids ]

Have that flashy gold camera hanging round your neck and you are possibly opening yourself up to attack - not for me thanks

Black may be dull and boring , but I'll settle for that when my K-x is hanging round my neck

Those cameras are going to look very cheap, tatty and nasty after a few months when the paint wears off the edges, revealing the white plastic that is underneath.

I do wish Pentax had not used K-X for a model name. The original KX is probably the best camera Pentax ever made. Re-cycling the name, (even with a dash between the two letters) ane sticking it on these hideous plastic things, dishonours the great original.

Everyone's view of course.

Mowog, have you seen it happen then with the KX?
It's also plastic so the colour is probably baked in instead of painted but the glossy finish might get indeed dull over time.

The original KX to which I refer. is made of brass with Satin chrome plating. Some were finished in black paint. The new digital K-X is plastic. I doubt that the plastic itself is coloured. More likely that it is surface sprayed and lacquered.
The laptop on which I write this is silver, but where my hands frequently rest and rub, the silver coating has worn away to reveal that the colour of the casing is actually black. The same will happen to these cameras, with frequent use, on the edges, mostly.
