I can't decide whether he's slating or praising the KR

I think the build is fine though when you compare it with what Canon or Nikon has to offer in the same class/price range.
Would love to know what he would say about the K5 with the FA77 or FA31 on it.

I kind of know what he means about the build, the switches and stuff like that really could be a bit better, they're fine but a feel a bit cheap - but I do like the grip and the boxiness of the Kr. I think the white finish highlights the imperfections, screws etc, though.

I have a black one which he could have got instead of a white one then he wouldn't have had to waste so much time waffling on about the colours.
I don't know if the coloured ones are bigger but his looked huge compared with mine. I don't have any problems with the buttons they all work properly and feel perfectly strong.
I've never had a problem with the flash closing and I find it a very comfortable camera to use. The anti shake is wonderful.
I personally bought the k-r because they seemed to have ironed out any problems they had with the k-x. I chose Pentax because of the ability to use old slr lenses with their cameras, some people can't afford all the modern lenses and along with the quality of the camera and the pictures it takes I think it was good value for money.
I've never used the kit lens but if he want's to know what a noisy lens sounds like he ought to try using a sigma 70-300mm zoom lens that frightens any wildlife away for miles. Sex toy indeed I bet he doesn't even know what one is.
Man boobs, moobs indeedy.

Sorry rant over.
